Promoting safer sex through education: December 2011

Hoping you have all enjoyed Valentines day, with lots of romance. Although I promote safer sex and advocate condom use, I recognise that there are occasions when emergency contraception is needed, and the earlier the better. Please go along to your GP, local clinics and other young people's services to access emergency contraception (both the emergency pills and IUDs are quite effective in preventing pregnancy, especially when used soon after unprotected sex).
